How do I get DayDare on a new iPhone?
Sign in with the same Apple Account and download DayDare again from the App Store. It’s a one-time purchase, so you won’t pay twice. Your journal comes back through your iCloud.
Does my journal sync between devices?
Yes, through your own private iCloud, if you’re signed in to the same Apple Account and iCloud is on for DayDare. The Apple Watch app shows today’s mission and lets you start it. Syncing can take a moment after a change.
How do I save or delete my journal?
Open Settings in DayDare. “Save a copy” exports your journal as a file. “Delete everything” removes it from this phone and from your iCloud. There’s no copy anywhere else and we can’t get it back for you, so save a copy first if you might want it.
A mission doesn’t fit my day.
Use “Swap today’s mission”. You get one swap a day. If nothing fits, log “Not today”: it counts the day and keeps your streak safe.
My reminders aren’t arriving.
Check that notifications are allowed for DayDare in iOS Settings, that a Focus isn’t blocking them, and that the reminder time is set in DayDare’s Settings. DayDare asks for notification permission after your first finished mission.
Is DayDare a substitute for therapy?
No. DayDare is not therapy, not dating advice and not a technique for influencing anyone. If you need more than an app, please talk to someone: findahelpline.com
A mission felt wrong for me.
Every mission is meant to respect a no, including yours. Log “Not today” or swap it, and please write to us so we can look at it.
