Terms of Use

Last updated October 2, 2026

These terms are the ground rules for using DayDare. They're written to be read. If something here is unclear, write to us.

01Agreement

By downloading or using DayDare (the “app”) you agree to these Terms of Use. DayDare is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. If these terms and Apple's agreement conflict, Apple's agreement prevails for the matters it covers. The app is published by VektraMind (“we”, “us”).

02What DayDare is

DayDare gives you one small mission a day, the words you might use, and a short debrief so you can see how your fear changes. The missions and the words are written ahead of time and ship with the app. DayDare doesn't use artificial intelligence.

03What DayDare is not

DayDare is not therapy, not medical or psychological advice, not dating advice and not a technique for influencing anyone. It is a practice tool. If you need more than an app, please talk to someone, for example through findahelpline.com. DayDare is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact your local emergency number.

04Using missions responsibly

Missions involve other people, so please use your own judgment. Choose places and moments that are safe and appropriate, respect a no from anyone, including when you're the one saying it, and stop any mission that feels unsafe. Every mission is written to respect a no and to count as done if you honestly tried. You are responsible for what you choose to do. Missions are suggestions, and we can't guarantee any outcome.

05Price and purchase

DayDare is a one-time purchase. In the United States the price is $6.99; elsewhere it's set locally by Apple's price tiers, and Apple shows the current price before you buy. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. Payment, receipts and refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies. Your purchase is tied to your Apple Account.

06Your content

Your journal belongs to you. It stays on your devices and in your own iCloud, and we have no access to it. You can export or delete it at any time from Settings.

07Our content

The app, its design, missions, text, artwork and code belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app as intended. Please don't copy the missions or the app's content for commercial use or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

08Availability and changes

We work to keep DayDare reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, especially features that depend on Apple's services such as iCloud. We may update, change or discontinue features, and we may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

09Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, for outcomes of anything you choose to do after reading a mission, or for losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.

10Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws that apply to the publisher's place of establishment, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in the country where you live.
